Complete Noob Army Tycoon wiki: active codes, tier list, controls, army tier system, map guide, missions, duels, and beginner tips for Roblox.

Release & Overview

Noob Army Tycoon is a Roblox military strategy tycoon developed by Denetroll under Thinking Project. First released on April 24, 2021, it has surpassed 400 million visits and remains one of the deepest army-building experiences on the platform.

You build a base with over 1,000 unlockable buttons, research troops from WW1 through futuristic eras, and deploy armies across land, air, and sea to capture strategic points. With 268+ troops, six unit categories, alliances, quests, and multiple server types, the game rewards both economy management and battlefield tactics.

The June 2026 update added mechs, 50 new noobs, 47 vehicles, troop quests, building skins, missions, duels, casual servers, and a reworked Army Tier scaling system that uses server-average tier instead of a single highest-tier player.

Controls

Noob Army Tycoon uses intuitive PC and mobile controls. Mastering troop splitting and target types separates average players from strong strategists.

PC Controls

  • WASD or Arrow Keys — Move camera / navigate map
  • E — Interact with buildings, buttons, and UI elements
  • Mouse — Select units, click capture points, confirm actions
  • Click + Drag — Highlight troops to split (like selecting text)
  • Change Army menu — Swap troops, set formations, edit target types

Mobile Controls

  • Virtual joystick — Pan the camera
  • Tap — Select units and interact
  • Tap + Drag — Split troops using the split tool or drag selection
  • Menu button — Access army, codes, settings, and server options

Advanced Tactics

  • Split Troops — Send part of your army to multiple capture points simultaneously
  • Target Types — Per-unit targeting (Weak, Strong, Near, Injured, Most Threatening, Random)
  • Drag on a unit to change its target type mid-battle (resets when unit dies)
  • Alliance chat — Coordinate captures and defense with teammates
Name Description
Near Targets the nearest enemy
Weak Focuses lowest-HP enemies; good for fast-firing units
Strong Focuses highest-tier enemies; good for snipers
Injured Targets lowest HP percentage; finish-off priority
Most Threatening Targets highest DPS enemy
Random Unit-dependent random selection; good for splash weapons

Tier List

There is no official static tier list — meta shifts with every update and depends on your opponents. The table below ranks troops by Army Tier and current community consensus for PvP and PvE.

Always adapt your army to the enemy. A perfect tier list on paper loses to proper counters and target-type setup.

Name Category Tier Role Notes
Soldier / Gunner Noobs T1 Early game Tutorial default; upgrade to Soldiers ASAP
Rocketeer Noobs T3 Mid game DPS Best ranged noob damage before endgame
Combat Medic Noobs T3 Support Keep 2–3 for sustain
Repairman Noobs T4 Support Only one allowed; heals vehicles
Heavy Minigunner Noobs T5 Burst DPS Short range; pair with shields/medics
Death Soldier Noobs T6 Late infantry Dominates ground before HDS
Heavy Death Soldier Noobs T7 Endgame infantry Peak ground unit; countered by HSFS
Fire Noob Super Noobs T5 Super DPS Highest super noob damage
Heavy Super Fire Soldier Super Noobs T7 Counter Hard-counters Heavy Death Soldiers
VRLAA Vehicles T4 Anti-air Essential vs air-heavy armies
Stealth Bomber Air Vehicles T4 Air superiority Top air pick in current meta
Heavy Guided-Missile Destroyer Ships T6 Naval Strong ship for boat points
Mechs Vehicles T5 Versatile Recent addition; strong mid-high ground

Counters

Unit Counter Reason
Heavy Death Soldier Heavy Super Fire Soldier (HSFS) HSFS outranges and melts HDS groups
Stealth Bomber VRLAA / anti-air vehicles Protect ground forces from air wipes
Heavy Railgun Tank Anti-tank missiles / laser destroyers High-tier vehicles need dedicated counters
Air-heavy army VRLAA + mixed ground Never leave ground without anti-air

Army Tier System

Every troop has an Army Tier from 1 to 7. Your army tier equals your highest-tier unit. Higher tiers unlock stronger units but also scale enemy Red Noob difficulty on public servers.

Since 2025, Red Noob scaling uses the average army tier of all players in the server (rounded up), not just the single highest player. Tier Bonus still gives extra HP to lower-tier armies fighting higher-tier opponents.

Beginner and Casual servers cap available tiers, making them ideal for new players. Pro servers have no restrictions — expect full endgame meta.

  • +Stay on Beginner/Casual servers until Army Tier 5+
  • +Avoid bringing Tier 7 units to low-tier public servers — you make the match harder for everyone
  • +Check server type before joining: Classic, Missions, Duels, Casual, Pro, or Trade

Items & Currency

Money

Primary currency from Workers, capture points, and combat. Used for spawners, buildings, and many troops. Scales with capture point multipliers.

Research Points (RP)

Generated by Researchers at the Research Center. Required to unlock new troops in the tech tree. Super Researchers produce 10 RP/s base (120 max upgraded).

Gems

Premium currency from Gem Mines (2.5/s max), quests (up to 15,000), daily challenges, missions, duels, and codes. Used for crates, pets, hats, and conversions.

Skill Points

Earned from codes and quests. Spent on permanent stat upgrades for your account.

Spin Tickets

Used on the wheel for random rewards. Several codes grant tickets alongside gems and currency.

Map & Capture Points

The battlefield features ground capture points (A through E), a central point, boat/water points, and each player's base statue. Holding points generates Money and RP — multipliers vary by gamemode.

Control more points than opponents to maximize income. The center point is always the most contested. In Red Noobs Invasion, mini enemy bases spawn behind points A and E.

Center Point

Standard x2 income; x2.5 in Red Noobs Invasion; x10 in King of the Hill

Ground A–E

Perimeter capture points; essential for steady income in Classic

Boat Points

Water capture zones requiring ships; disabled on Casual servers

Base Statue

Your HQ — if destroyed in certain modes, you lose

Gamemodes & Servers

Gamemodes

Classic

Default mode — capture points, PvP, standard income multipliers

Red Noobs Invasion

Best for grinding Money/RP with x2.5 center multiplier; Red Noob waves

King of the Hill

Only center active; x10 multiplier; longest hold time wins gems

Deathmatch

Combat-focused; gem rewards on win

Blitz

Fast-paced rounds with accelerated pacing

Daily Challenge

Rotating special rules; exclusive units possible

Servers

Classic (Public)

Standard 6-player servers with voting gamemodes

Casual

Max 4 players; no Tier 4+ units, alliances, ships, or missiles

Missions

Solo/duo PvE objectives with scaled rewards

Duels

1v1 or 2v2 arena combat; includes 20 Duel Challenges

Pro

No tier caps; full competitive meta

Trade

Safe trading between players

Missions & Duels

Missions are PvE scenarios on a large map where you complete objectives solo or in duos. Rewards scale with difficulty score, tycoon completion, and modifiers. Seven main mission packs exist with more planned.

Duels pit you against players or special bots in 1v1/2v2 arenas. Duel Challenges feature 20 unique AI opponents with special rules — conquer them for records and rewards. Easy mode gives boosted starting resources but halves rewards.

FAQ

Why is my code not working?

Complete the tutorial first. Codes are case-sensitive and may include spaces. Expired codes return errors — try a fresh active code from our list.

What is the best army in Noob Army Tycoon?

There is no universal best army. Meta depends on gamemode, server tier, and enemy composition. Heavy Death Soldiers dominate ground until HSFS counters appear; Stealth Bombers rule air.

Which server should beginners use?

Beginner or Casual servers cap unit tiers and limit advanced mechanics. Stay until your army reaches Tier 5 comfortably.

How do I grind Money and RP fast?

Use a private server, vote Red Noobs Invasion, and hold the center point (x2.5 multiplier). Max Workers and Researchers before buying expensive troops.

Is there an official Trello?

No. The developer does not maintain a public Trello. Rely on Discord, this wiki, and the Fandom wiki for troop stats.

How does Army Tier affect Red Noobs?

Red Noob strength scales with the average army tier in your server. High-tier players raise difficulty for everyone — use Casual servers to avoid this.

Are private servers free?

Yes. Noob Army Tycoon offers free private servers where you can pick gamemodes, practice, and grind safely.

What are the newest codes?

As of June 2026: Mechs, funny read 3, 4000000, and 3Years are among the newest high-value codes. Check the Codes section above for the full active list.
